The Spider and the Stonefly - Macro photo

Recommended Posts

This Stonefly met its destiny when the spider caught it in its web :-)

This picture was taken on a very cloudy day inside the high grass where the light was really bad. That´s why i had to use a flash and unfortunately some parts of the picture is suffering from the flash light (especially on the green body of the spider)...... even though i think it got quite good and a picture i kind of like :-)

Because much of this picture has a green background it´s kind of hard to see the spiders body as it also is green but look close under the spiders yellow legs and you see the green round body with hairs on it :-)

If you look close you can also see a bug up in the top of the picture..... i did not see that bug when i took the shoot as my focus was on the spider and the stonefly. It was after i got the picture up on my screen i saw the other bug :-)

Hope you like it :-)

Really Great. I'll bet the poor stonefly wished that a trout had got it instead of a spider....

I love spiders, Terje ... and this is a great shot of one. That little aphid in the back ground, lol ... sipping sap and thinking, "Glad I am not on HIS menu!"
