Nick,

I had the same problem when I first started using CCG so I started pushing it out on a blotter and applying it with a bodkin but still had some waste so I purchased the bottle of tack free which has a brush applicator in the cap and I just pull out the brush to the point where I can just scrape a little off with my bodkin and dab as much or as little as I want according to what I am trying to accomplish then I just carefully slide the brush applicator back in the bottle and there is no waste. I hope this helps.

I don't use the metal tips and red tip covers that come with the tubes. Instead, I just take it directly from the syringe end. There's less tendency for the ccg to keep flowing that way. I also hold the syringe in one hand with the little finger and base of the hand holding onto the plunger while the other fingers of the hand pull the tube down onto the plunger to get a bit from the tip, then either release pressure or even pull back if needed to draw the goo back into the tube. Is that at all clear?

Hi,

We're with the other guys. We use CCG a lot and apply it using a bodkin. We either squeeze it slightly our of the tube on the bodkin or dip the bodkin tip in the bottle (depending on which formula we use). Take care & ...

the bottles with the brush or the dispensing tips are much easier to use than any syringe

Greetings to all,

I too use CCG, and also found the syringes to be a major difficulty. What i did was take some old prescription bottles, cleaned them out very well, covered the outside in a black Gorilla Duct Tape to keep out any light, and then squeezed the contents of the syringes into the old RX bottles. I put a little velcro button on the bottom of the bottles and put a strip of velcro in my 'head cement' box, and that keeps them upright. I apply the CCG with a bodkin and you can easily control the amount since you are taking it out of a bottle that is about 1" across, easy to see, easy to get, and with the velcro, hard to tip over. Don't know if this will help anyone, but it works for me. Thanks.
