Jordon W 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2013 I love fly fishing and will be moving in mid July to KS looking for any advice on water or fly shops close to central KS
utyer 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2013 Hopefully you will be in the "mountains" of Kansas (AKA Colorado.) I am sure there will be fishing, just not much trout fishing.
Hoyt archery 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2013 Ark River Anglers in Wichita is a great fly shop. Lots of good info, materials, equipment. Depending on what "central" KS means would help point you in the right direction. By July it will likely be 100 degrees every day. Just so you know. Fish & Game has a 2013 Fishing Atlas that will a valuable tool for you ( and me ). Great maps and tons of info. Also you can dig up density and size listings of fish for all waters from F&G test nettings on their website. Kansas F&G also stocks a lot of trout during the winter. Still very few mountain streams though.
