Prybis 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2013 I usually tie my own flies for fishing. I like tying simple easy flies. I also use western style flies with my tenkara rods. Bead chain eyes are a great way to add some weight to tenkara flies but coming up with patterns can be a little difficult. I have tied panfish charlies using bead chains but wanted more of a nymph style. Takashi Yoshida ties a big eye fly that I have seen on his blog and thought they would work. There is also a fly called the Boudreaux on here which I liked. I based my tying after both of these and came up with something using curved hooks like TMC 2488, Mustad C49s, and TMC barb less competition hook. I hope you like these. ditz2 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2013 I use beadchain too. Brass, silver, painted black, and orange. I tend to tie and fish simple as well.
