Spanky29ca 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2013 This is the scene from my home city, Calgary Alberta Canada, the worst flood in history. One nice thing to see is all the people helping others who have lost everything.

hairwing 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2013 I've been following the story on the news. Feel for you guys, but things will return to normal eventually. You can never tell when Ma Nature will decide to show you she's boss. We can use some of that rain down here in Colorado. The whole state smells like campfire smoke. Be well
Fish For Life 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2013 Trout in downtown ?? I haven't seen any trout yet but i saw a nice size white fish on side walk. He was still alive and i helped him back to the water. It has been one crazy flood. My sister cant get to work because her building is half covered in water. My mom is a school bus driver, all the schools are closed so she has been helping evacuate people from there homes. The amount of destruction this flood has done is crazy. Its not just Calgary, Canmore and Banff are getting it just as bad. THE RAIN JUST WONT STOP AND ITS DRIVING ME INSANE
yellow bomber 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2013 Mother Nature's payback. Alberta has been destroying her for oil for decades, she's had enough, pissed off and fightin back. Can't say i blame her really (have a look around Ft McMurray sometime, its sad) No more Southern Alberta fishin for the summer i'd say and the landscape will be forever changed. Stay safe everyone. DrVette 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2013 I feel for you up there. My favorite river (the Rio Grande) and my favorite 2 towns (Creede & South Fork Colorado) are probably going to get burned to the the ground in the next couple of days. The entire area is probably going to look like something from Dante's nightmares for decades. 54K acres and growing fast. I can't hardly breath because i only have one lung here in Pueblo (about 150 miles away) due to the smoke. You can look right at the sun and barely see it here, and everything is covered in ash. I don't think i could recomend coming to Colorado this year...But if you do come PLEASE bring that rain with you...we could definately use it.
