Piker20 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2013 great fly I would pitch that on the shore for huge browns nothing like hearing a huge brown beach itself trying to get a mouse I tie them as big as 4/0 for the browns around my area and they still sometimes swallow them with reckless abandonment Riff, whats the smallest brown that you've had on the 1/0 + sized ones? tidewaterfly 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2013 That's one of the best looking rat patterns I've ever seen! I would expect it would work well on either LMB or SMB!

flyderaght 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2013 Very nice. I would imagine that would work well for anything that eats mice. good color combo too. white on the bottom is important is many wild mice species have a whitish belly.. Marc
Clyde Ellis 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2013 Very nice Rat! Question: How do you tie the deer hair --white on bottom and brown / gray on top? Thanks.
TheCream 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2013 Very nice Rat! Question: How do you tie the deer hair --white on bottom and brown / gray on top? Thanks. The deer hair is stacked, not spun. Stacking allows you to keep colors under control instead of having the same uniform color spun around the hook.
