It would be nice if you updated by edit on flies received. You haven't mentioned mine being there and I sent them over 2 weeks ago. I could have done another set and sent it if they're not there or lost in mail.

Ok guys. What would you like me to do? I haven't received any more flies. I can't believe the mail would loose three sets. I've written messages on here that have gone unreturned. I've never come across a situation like this doing swaps.

 

Including mine, we have 4 sets. But my patience is wearing out.

 

Let me know what you prefer and we'll do that. As far as contacting the guys who've been unresponsive, I don't know what else I can do.

mine was returned undeliverable today so I repackaged and will mail Monday morning the package was ripped right down the middle with a 3 inch wide triangular across the address

At this point you'll probably have to do what I've had to do on the last couple of swaps I've done on the board, and a couple I've been in. Go ahead and wait for riff's and then just sort them out so everyone gets an ass't and then just mix the rest in so we get dupes but not our own back. No way around that I'm afraid. Maybe it's just not the best to do swaps in midsummer since things are hectic with trips and kids and things. The last swap I ran and the last two I've been in have all ended short on returns. You do the best you can as SM and then just try to get everything who does ship their flys out a fair shake on what came in.

 

I signed up for a swap with spey flies. I had nothing to tie them with, no knowledge of how they were tied. I ordered a bunch of special stuff for the swap, studied patterns, found a nice one I could tie, practiced the pattern for a day to get it looking like something I'd sign my name too, then sent out 9 flies to get back nine others. Ended up with 3/3/3, 3 of which were my own. Really discouraging when I'd bought the stuff special just for that swap, abut the ones I did get were nice, including my own.

Cool Eastern. Once yours arrive, I'll follow Vic's suggestions by splitting the flies up while trying to avoid getting any your own back.

That's disappointing that those whose flies are not in are not even communicating with you to let you know what their status is. I'd say at this point that they've had their chance. Once Riff's and Eastern's arrive, I'd say divvy up what you've got and call it good. I am looking forward to seeing the flies.

I received two more sets. I don't expect any others. I'll be back from a business trip this weekend. I'll get'em in the mail Monday. I deeply appreciate everyone's involvement and patience. I know this didn't work out the way we planned, but we did it.

Howdy Swappers! This one is in the books. All flies went out in the mail first thing this morning. I'll get some photos uploaded soon. Things have been busy here for me at the house, but I'll get some up for us. Many pretty flies were sent; different patterns & sizes. Really a nice selection to choose from.
