Bryon Anderson 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2013 Got my flies yesterday and was very impressed. Nice work everyone! This was a fun swap - I had not tied bendbacks before but will definitely be adding them to my arsenal.

vicrider 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2013 Got mine. Beautiful flies...but this is one of those swaps that I wish I could have seen others before I did mine. I get anxious to get things done and if I'd seen your guys first I'd have ordered different hooks and made some bigger flies. I did mine around the fishing I do and I think in terms of panfish or trout so I kinked some lighter wire hooks I knew wouldn't break like the first ones I tried and tied around the sizes I'd normally be using in local ponds. The ones you guys tied should be killers on both bass and stripers in our closer reservoir, or I'll have to plan a trip to Texoma and give them a workout there this fall yet. Thanx all, and this is one of those swaps where I feel like the rookie in my ties, and Dave, your shrimp in pic may just end up as the second fly in my bonefish swap. I'll definitely work on that being a better quality tie.
Flies & Photos 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2013 Cool replies! The flies are all beautiful and there's a lot of talent for this swap. It's also way cool that some new skills were added. You guys gave me some ideas for my own variations too. Sometimes I'll get stuck in a rut and forget to test new methods. Thanks for joining and tying!
