Fish For Life 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2013 I was tying some walleye flys and giving them epoxy heads and really liked the look. I decided to make the whole fly with epoxy and am pretty pleased with the results. I gave them 2-3 layers of led wire to get them down fast to where the fish are. What do you guys think. Good or not so good of and idea. Thanks

Phish 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2013 They looks good. I have them in that style but mainly use them on crappies and bass so there is no question they will on walleye. Are you fishing in a kayak on lake Erie?
ditz2 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2013 I think they look good. I have never fished anything in that style but it would be worth a try for bait fish eaters.

Kirk Dietrich 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2013 Those look great. A marabou tail with some supple flash material really adds some seductive action too. The LMB down here like those especially when they are feeding on schools of shad. Kirk
tidewaterfly 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2013 Superb! I've never fished for Walleye's, but understand they're often found near the bottom, and expect where you're going will have a rocky bottom. I think I would make something similar on a jig hook, to have the point up for reducing snagging. You also might consider adding a rattle inside the body. phg 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2013 They look pretty good. The suggestion of adding some marabou to the tail, in addition to the Krystal Flash, is a good one. That will give them more movement. Let us know how they work out for you.
