mybadhabit 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2013 Great bunch of flies!! Thanks for hosting Sharon. Piker, just out of curiosity, just how does one use what you've tied? Never worked with something like that so I'm pleading ignorance. Blane
Horseshoes 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2013 Vic, I know I was really surprised with the hand tied. I had been reading some of the sntigue books on flytying and in hand was the way they did it. cool though. you are very welcome and I hope you catch lots. riffleriversteelheadslayer 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2013 I got mine today also and thank you Sharon for hosting yet another great swap and a big thanks to the incredible talent we have entering these swaps As for how to use Piker's fly what you do is pull the hook out of the tube run your tippet through the tube tie on the hook then slide the tube back down on the hook this is so you can change hooks without changing flies when the hook gets dull from banging on rocks
Piker20 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2013 as Riff says. You can use a single double or treble hook as rules allow. You can fish on a weighted leader to get depth or you could even slide a cone onto your line before the tube to add weight on a floating line.

Henrik Thomsen (DK) 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2013 Got a little box of beauties today, thank you all. Regarding thing in hand, it's easy, the secret is to use silk and a good sticky wax. I make my wax myself. A short 12 min video on how I tie them. I'm not going to use the flies for fishing, they will be kept as in my collection of flies traded or given to me. Once again thank you for all the beauties. Henrik
