Capt Bob LeMay 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 Since I buy my feathers by the pound and hooks by the thousand per size... that's a pledge I ought to take...
Peterjay 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 Ha! If we all quit buying materials, the economy would collapse overnight; it'd make the Great Recession look like a picnic. Being the unselfish and public-spirited individual I am, I'll continue to do my part in keeping our nation prosperous and strong.
fishingbobnelson 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 At my age I can't always remember if I have it or not. It looks so good hanging on the peg in the fly shop that, well, just in case, I buy it anyway....

vicrider 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 And what can be worse than running out of a material you were sure you had plenty of. Better to back up everything and keep the wheels of the feather industry rolling along.
williamhj 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 I'm always sure I need more #16 dry fly hooks so that's what I pick up. Get home and realize it was 14's or 18's I was low on List doesn't do much home sitting on the tying table at home.
tctrout 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 Love that picture! What fun would it be to stop buying stuff, even if we don't need it!?!?! TC

Fishiowa 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 My biggest problem is no fly shops nearby and lack of planning. I run out of something so I go online to buy a spool of thread, now I need to buy enough to qualify for the free shipping. I've ended up with several $100 spools of thread. Makes me wonder how free the shipping really is :-)
