September flies from the vice

Recommended Posts

Keeping it simple. A mess of wire bodied spiders. Partridge (natural and dyed green) and starling hackles with various coloured wire bodies.

Great anchor point flies for a team.

Cheers,

Here's a video of a Deer Hair Any, as tied by the great George Harvey (recipe in his book, "Techniques of Trout Fishing and Fly Tying"). This is a SIMPLE, yet effective pattern, especially when ants are on the water or fish are looking up, especially when they are sitting on the edges of the stream. Enjoy!

my first go at using E.P. fibres. had to make a streamer for the 2013 swap club for sept. and was shooting for a shad. caught bass and crappie on the prototype then hooked something I couldn't turn. how much fun is that LOL!
