October Flies from the Vise

Have been on an intruder kick lately...tied up 2 dozen shanks last week and ripped through them all...tied up another 2 dozen today so I can keep the creativity flowing!

Thanks guys. I dont even get out to fish steelhead much (yet lol) but I just love tying them! Not sure what it is, but I find them fun to tie and the color variations are sweet.

Been doing well with this, on a local canal, for roach and rudd. Really simple to tie, too.

 

Size 14 hook

Black cock hackle fibres with a piece of pearl crystal flash tied in above

Built up a body with your tying thread

Thorax is black slf dubbing, dubbed using split thread

Thanks, and Yes sir, it's braided in a soloman bar (paracord bracelet style), keeping the white on the bottom.
