mybadhabit 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2013 Congrats Steve, it's been 21 1/2 years for me, so you can quit for life, I have no intention of ever going back. I like being able to taste food, not smell like a stale ashtray, and not having that huge expense. All pluses for me. Blane
Rolf Jacobsen 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2013 Two years, five months for me. Thanks for the reminder. What's really cool is my son and I both quit the same day..... together. He's been clean all this time too. Life is good.

Piker20 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2013 just on a weird off note, did any of you quitters notice a drop off in your catches since you stopped??
DrVette 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2013 Hey Steve...Glad to hear you never went back. I started the chantix a couple of weeks ago...That stuff REALY messes with your system. BUT I havent had a cigarette since Friday night...I am almost litterally climbing the walls here...forgive me if i vanish off and on from the site while detoxing from the tabacco and then the chantix over the next few weeks. Take care buddy.
netabrookie 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2013 DrVette, I took the Chantix for a almost a month last year and after the second week the cigarettes start tasting like crap and the desire seemed to go away. I went for 3 months without one but fell off the wagon.
