mylobass 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2013 Hi everyone. I'm a bass and snook angler. Also try for baby tarpon and would love to find the key to regularly hooking up to the huge tilapia that over populate my area. Can't wait to learn more from this friendly forum. mikechell 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2013 Welcome to the site. Central Florida here. I've been trying to tie the perfect Tilapia fly for a while. They eat vegetation more than anything else, so it's hard to get them to hit anything. When they do hit something, it's usually to move it off the nest. I've heard of people catching them with live bait. But I've been using everything down to a size 16 hook, and I can't get them to consistently hit anything. If you find the magic fly, please hurry and post the recipe.
