jburge 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2014 Problem with internet$&@"(? 4 th try in getting on long enough to say: OK Â Yeah, mine's been the same way, though our cables aren't nearly as cold as yours :-) Â The flies went out last week, so I'm assuming they're taking their sweet time to get there. Either that, or they stepped out of the tin, felt the air, and figured out a way to get back to California. He, he...

Travis Bille 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2014 Should I be worried about my flies not arriving yet?
vicrider 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2014 Travis, after the Canadian Mounted Police inspect each fly at the border deciding which ones to pilfer, they are turned over the Canadian Mounted Postal Carriers Union, where they are ridden at top speed to nearest depot for sorting. There they sit for a period not to exceed 10 days but never less than 5 days. At that time they are duly stamped and sent on to an eventual destination via whatever carrier means are slowest in that area. In winter bobsleds are often used as cost of dog food is cheaper than gasoline in Canada. I'm sure in due time your package will arrive safely, and if it happens to be missing a few flies be happy in knowing they will probably be used to catch a few grayling for pictures and a few whitefish for the pan, crisply fried up in the grease of the mornings back bacon slab. Â Or in other words, you're probably safe. Mine took over two weeks to make it, but living in Oklahoma it might have taken a week to make it outside of our borders. Horseshoes 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2014 Travis I have never had flies take 1 month to get here before I am afraid they are lost in one of the 100 winter storms they had to go through to get here. Still have time yet, fishybob and jburge still have their flies in transit. never know they could drop out of the sky anytime now transported by one of those drones hovering along the border. Travis Bille 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2014 Yeah, I'm kind thinking they're lost. Along with my $10 for return postage haha. Oh well. I'll cross my fingers that they show.
Horseshoes 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2014 Travis...really sorry. I found your flies behind a table by the door, nestled in safely for quite some time. Must have fell back while sitting precariously in a pile. So relax all is well. I don't think I ever had a set not arrive, so this makes me feel better. Â Just waiting for my west coast boys then all is a go!!!

Horseshoes 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2014 Well said but... Fishybob got his flies here before you. So I figure you must be older.
