mikechell 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2013 I have cats. I never leave anything out because I KNOW they'll get into it. My tying area is always clean because of that. Even when I am tying, if it can hurt them, it's put away after every use.

mikechell 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2013 Naw, no trouble with mine, really. Much less trouble, at least, than bratty little children. I just have to clean up after myself ... which is a good thing.

Crackaig 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2013 Sounds like its time to size and bag the hackles you have left. I know some people do this immediately they get a cape. I prefer the natural ordered storage system myself. The dog is really after the skin. Leave a picric dyed one out next time. He'll learn! Cheers, C. Rocco 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2013 My first Spinoni Berto once got at a very large -- maybe a half haunch -- deer hair chunk dyed black. You cannot imagine the mounds of detached hair he left all over the family room. The only thing that saved his skin was a "not me, it was the Lab" act that left me in stitches. Best bird dog I have known was old Bert. Rocco
mybadhabit 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2013 My Great Pyrenees got to a bag of dyed deer hair shortly after I got her and she left a huge multicolored mess in the living room, and the back yard, had no problems finding doggy duty that week. fyshman69 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2013 The house cat took a liking to my strung peacock herl. We would wake up in the morning and find peacock all over the house. My fly tying setup is now in the corner of the unfinished basement. I lost.
