Capt Bob LeMay 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2013 One of the reasons the bug got the name Speedbug is how quick they are to glue up, then tie up. I run double layer of flat waxed nylon on the hook shank, then fit each one into the slot that's already cut into the soft foam heads... Once I have a dozen or so readied, each one is worked back to near the surface, a quick line of super glue is applied (I like original Krazy Glue in the small tube..), then each head gets clothes pin to hold things tight for about five minutes to finish the gluing process. The following pics should give you a view of this. One other small item about the soft heads - you can't paint them at all which is just fine by me since the fish take them on sight... Capt Bob LeMay 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2014 I enjoy writing articles for magazines but these days magazines aren't buying at all so I have lots of stuff that will probably end up on the 'net one way or the other.... Glad they were useful. Tight Lines Bob LeMay (954) 435-5666
pop-n-bug 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2014 That's what I like about the FTF. Everyone is always willing to offer advice on any topic. No matter the topic or question, there is always someone that can answer the question and offer plenty of encouragement.
