Besides, anybody who's spent a lot of time fishing in blazing tropical sunshine or bitter northeast winds, pounding surf, deadly undertow, among no-see-ums, green head flies, rabid seals, disease-laden mosquitoes, razor-sharp oyster shells, Somali pirates, and bloodthirsty bull sharks, has earned the right to exhibit a little dementia from time to time.
