MuskyFlyGuy 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2014 Does anyone have a pattern they can share for a smallmouth fly called the "Tequile"? I probably spelled it wrong. Thanks, Tom

utyer 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2014 You might be referring to the Tequila Sunrise pattern which is a color variation of the "Popsicle" fly pattern. These are usually used in combinations of bright marabou, and a yellow-red or yellow-orange combination resembles the drink. Google images for "Tequila Sunrise fly pattern" and you will find dozens of variations. OR it might be some completely different pattern. I know I posted a "Tequila Sunrise Streamer" here in the last couple of years. It looks like the first image here. The second image is to a red and yellow Popsicle pattern. The Orvis pattern is called the TeQueely. This is indeed a rubber legged woolly bugger. From the picture, it looks like a black and yellow marabou tail. Then three sets of double yellow rubber legs. Body looks to be wrapped with a dark (possibly black) crystal chenille. Hook 3 to 4XL. This IS sold as a bass fly. The others are use commonly as Steelhead patterns. BigDaddyHub 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2014 Shoebop is dead on with the pic...great little pattern for smallies. Imitates craws, stoneflies, dragon fly nymphs,etc......match the color scheme to the color schemes of the bugs in your local waters.
