mikechell 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2014 Cute little bug, Flymanaj. Should make a lot of sound on the top. Get ready for an explosive hit.
yonkerj3 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2014 This is a great looking bug. I have a few quick questions: What kind of glue are you using to glue that craft foam together? Are you using foam that is pretty thick when you cut the 3/4" squares or are you gluing many layers of foam together? Thanks for putting this pattern up. -J

flymanaj 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2014 Yonkerj3 I use zap a gap to glue the foam together. As far as foam thickness I use the thickest foam that I have on hand. Unfortunately stores around where I live only sell the 6mm foam in black and white so I end up using 2mm most of the time. I accidently left out a step on the instructions. For bodies like this one I make two stacks of foam, one white, one green. Then glue the colors together. I also cut the foam stacks into an octagon to reduce friction and prevent the foam from slipping on the nail.
flymanaj 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2014 Also cut the stacks down the middle THEN glue them together.
