mikechell 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2014 Planetrout ... those are interesting looking flies. Do you varnish or coat all the fibers? Stmflies ... nice deer hair work. FlyDology ... looks like an "eatin' sized" perch or sunfish. Great looking flies, all.
tctrout 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2014 Here's a recent tie I placed on YouTube, a cross between Scott Sanchez's Rubber-Leg Biot Bug and Clark "Cheech" Pierce's Twitchy Chicken. Pulling key characteristics of each, the Biot Stone is a representational pattern that can be modified for brown, black, or golden stoneflies. Enjoy, TC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIM-rv1JK10

Tailing looper 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2014 GX DEEP SPARKLE PUPA - TMC 3761, #16... PT/TB Nice. Those LaFontaine sparkle caddis patterns -- deep and emerger-- are very effective flies. Tight lines, Bob
Piker20 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2014 No Mike it is a very thin, closed cell foam that comes as packing between items used at work. Has a very nice effect to it when tied in and folded.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2014 Yeah ... I know the stuff you're talking about !!! It does look good on those flies of yours.
