utyer 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2014 Some "Foamalas" inspired by Mikes Big Eye Fly. With the proper balance of lead and foam, these can be made to float just at the surface, and dive under when retrieved.
COMike 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2014 Some beautiful flies here!!!! mikechell 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2014 Nice minnow imitations, Philly and Utyer. Utyer, I appreciate the shout out, but you don't need to. The Permanent Eye system of tying on a bead is the only thing that really separates mine from any other "crease fly". I've only tied black San Juan Worms, COMike, since I think they'll imitate leeches in the dark waters I fish. SO far, I haven't caught anything but Texas Ciclids in Houston with them. But I think they are the piscine equivalent of French Fries ... just not a lot of junk food junky fish, I guess.
gill buster 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2014 Silently returning from a long time of inactivity... This one tied with the blue feather plucked from the corsage as groomsman for a good friend. A simple little rabbit streamer. Conehead double bunny, because you can never have to much rabbit. Some buggers and some bugs tied up to imitate the "trout magnet" that the gear boys are tossing.
