Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2014 This one started out as the dark orange color like the rest of the glass rods I have been building but the new owner is a die hard bluegill guy and gave me free reign with artistic work so I figured I would do the rod up right for him to suit his personal style so blank was sanded down and painted then clear coated before being built.Wood seat in BUL5 Nickle silver hardware, custom grip, blue dun thread with ice blue metallic trim and spiral wraps & traditional double foot guides. And Mike NO you can't have it, I know how much you love blue rods lol
Spanky29ca 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2014 This is the one I've been waiting for, that is a fantastic looking rod, very unique. You did a great job , I'm sure the new owner will be thrilled
netabrookie 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2014 I usually go for more natural or earthy colors but that blue just jumps out and looks great. The blue accents on the grip really brings the whole package together. After thinking about what I just wrote....blue is an earthy color if you look up at the sky...Beautiful work!!! mikechell 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2014 That is one of the most beautiful rods you've ever posted, Steve ... I want ... What do you mean? You didn't build that for me??? Okay, okay ... well, when I get you to build another rod for me, you'll know what you'll have to do.
