Crackaig 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2014 Unfortunately the denier system doesn't work either! Denier is only any use for comparing threads of the same material. It is calculated by weighing 900 meters if the thread. If the threads are of different enough density it is possible to have a 120 denier thread that is finer than a 45 denier one. What Mike calls Chris Helms way of finishing flies a whip finish is the as the one done with the Rite Whip Finish bobbin.
