GoPro Mobile Fishing Livestream at a local pond fishing the Thief pattern... one I tied at the Dallas Fly Fishers Fly Tying Class at Cabelas earlier this week!

Caught two Bass... one went almost 20 inches in length, other was not so big. Both were fun to catch on the 2wt Fiberglass CGR Fly Rod!

Bass one was caught in the first 5 minutes of the stream. Second in was caught in the last 5 minutes.

Got out in the wind.  Came home with 9 crappie. Also caught a few small gills and one nice bass. First trip of the year.

Back out before a storm moved #GoPro #fishing #livestreaming #flyfishing for Bluegill with a Foam Grasshopper.  Lots missed but did get one before it poured.

Worked well the other day as well as over the years. Have noticed when Bass are skittish, the flyline will spook them. But, this tip has worked well for Bass when flyfishing.

Fishing updates... tried fishing the Foam Grasshopper at the local pond. One Bass and one Bluegill caught and released, else it was a lot of missed strikes once I located the Bluegill. Did get an idea where to fish next time at least. May try a Foam Spider aka Betts Bream Getter next time. The longer body on the grasshopper may be giving them too much leeway from the hook point. More to come!

Here is the edited version of the GoPro Mobile Fishing Livestream from Sunday morning when I fished Bethany Lakes. Edited out the sections where there was no action and focused on the action at the Back Pond!

Storm was brewing but really wanted to catch a fish before it rained. Managed to catch one!

Was fishing the local pond, working the banks while headed to another spot for another GoPro Mobile Fishing Livestream. Had a Bass strike while not paying attention. Gotta stay ready for a strike!

Snuck out on a stream in Minnesota today. The cooler weather we had the last couple days made for a slow morning, but the water eventually warmed. Once it got to 40 degrees things started to come to life. Around 1:30pm the BWOs started coming off. The trout that had seemed non-existent minutes before nosed up into the heads of the pools and were looking up. Quite a few fell victim to a #16 pearl butt secret on the surface and even caught a few fishing it drowned. That fly sure catches fish but its a hard one to see on the water.
