Working on some sculpin patterns.

Incredible Fly, Cheech!

 

Finally got some time off from tying by the dozen to indulge myself in some articulated stuff, and tied this one with a farm pond in mind.

I'm not sure about sculpin, Cheech ... but that might be the most realistic mouse face I've seen. Sitting on the bottom, it's a sculpin ... sitting there, feed that thing some cheese.

Planning comparing nymphs tied in the conventional way with some tied "in the round". I don't know if there will be a significant difference but its worth trying.

post-30867-0-86648300-1406488359_thumb.jpg at the bench this morning playing around with turkey biots and soft hackle. tried coloring the biots with a sharpie pen hope to use these flies as a dropper with my poppers anxious to try them out. what do you think? Also a briminator with a little color added and a couple ants made with ccg.
