Spanky29ca 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2014 First time out with my new 2wt rod that Steeldrifter made, and boy did I have a great time. I've never used a rod that light before and is it ever fun. Caught 10 cutthroats and a bull trout.
PondStalker 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2014 Nice looking rod and reel combo. I suspect that the two weight had a nice workout on some of those trout. Happiness is where you find it....

mikechell 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2014 Great looking spot for fishing. Glad you got to try out the rod with some fish on the line. I am not "up on" the equipment, what kind of reel is that? Welcome to the brotherhood of "Steve built rod owners".
Spanky29ca 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2014 It's a reel is made by Wychwood, I ordered it from England, it's weighs only 50 grams. I wanted a nice light reel and this one was the lightest I could find. This 2wt is actually my 3rd rod from Steve (for myself) my wife has a 3wt from Steve as well. His work is second to none, only problem I have is which one to choose when I go out lol.
