Dcap240 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2014 CDC sparkle dun is my go to for most mayflies. Regular deer hair sparkle dun is another good one.
mvendon 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2014 Hi streamtrout, I really like Rosenbauer's Rabbits Foot emerger. You can swap the body dubbing for turkey biots for a slimmer profile. Use different colored snowshoe and body colors to imitate all kinds of mayflies. I like the tail a little more sparse than what's shown in the link. I've caught lot's of nice trout through the years on it, usually on sizes 16 & 14. Here's a link. Welcome to the forum Regards, Mark

AZWoolybugger 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2014 There really is no such thing as a 'best' anything. You should be trying to match the hatch, offer the fish something that it is feeding upon. (size, color, profile, movement etc. ) I fly will do great one day and might be totally ignored the next, totally frustrating, but that is fishing
