Piker20 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2014 I'm never so confident when they are leaping about. Seems they are never on the feed like that. Does give you confidence fish are about though.
fshng2 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2014 Are sea trout also called weakfish?
Piker20 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2014 Not that I know of. Sea trout are typically sea run brown trout.
Fisherboy0301 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2014 Are sea trout also called weakfish? You are in the USA. Here we have spotted seatrout, silver trout, sand trout, and weakfish. All are different. They're catching true brown trout that are in salt water. Another case of country to country confusion. Hope that helped.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2014 According to Wikipedia ... In the USA, sea trout is the colloquial name of the Weakfish.

fshng2 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2014 Thanks fisherboy for clearing that up. I can see why a brown trout would be interested in that fly, but a weakfish probably not.
