Playing around with putting gills on the Ammonite Nymph. A nice variation but is it worth the trouble?

It will be if it catches more fish! November is starting with really pretty, and fish-attracting, flies.

Finished these up last month. Will probably donate them to a charity auction since I never get to fish them anymore. Some areas of the country they swear by them.

That mysterious and spooky Addams family...or in this case the Adams family. These are Classic (2 each) from 12-20, Parachute (2 each) from 12-20, Delaware (2 each) from 14-18, Spent Wing female (2 each) from 14-18, One each 14 and 16 Wullf, and Quill's (2 each) from 14-18. I did cheat on these in the sense I did use Cree Hackle instead of the combined hackle of the original.

Featured on YouTube, in this video I tie a Czech-style Hare's Ear nymph. The version is in line with the "guide style" of flies, though I do discuss some options for the pattern. I want to stress that I tie this pattern in larger sizes (8-12), and primarily fish it in faster water.
