January flies from the vise

Like that tube apart from the cone a little too big. When does your Atlantic season kick off Eide?

Yes, it might be on the slightly big side, I need to stock up on cones as well soon!


Atlantic season is still some months off: starts around june

I have been tying shrimp flies lately. First is a freshwater pattern for the river. This is tied with just mono-filament line. Followed by a saltwater pattern for the lagoons. The second pattern was inspired by all the great patterns from across the pond tied for Sea Trout. We have Speckled Sea Trout here, but I am not sure if they are the same species. Any way, most fish will take a shrimp fly.

Thanks. Have not been tying dry flies all that long. Did not have the brown hackle so I used a great ginger cape I had. Need to pick up a brown saddle.


Here was to nights tie.
