newbie@this 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2015 Is there a way to post pictures from Facebook to the forum?
Fish For Life 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2015 Ya, you can just copy and paste it. Or you can save to your desktop and then post it here like you would any other picture.

FlaFly 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2015 Some of us don't seem to be able to use the paste functions in replies... all I can do is attach a photo from my files. If you go to the home page of the forum (I think that's where I read it) there are guidelines for photo size... I store all the photos I take at max pixels and physical size. If I post them that way only part of the photo is visible on the screen and viewers are forced to scan sideways or up and down. It's a good idea to make a copy of a photo, amend the size (make it smaller), and save it with a new filename prior to posting. You can delete the amended copy later if you don't want duplicates in your files.
flytire 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2015 I stand corrected on the facebook copy/paste. I'm too old for facebook I can see the photo on my cell phone but I cannot see the photo on my work computer (working in a defense plant, security dept doesn't allow it) I can not copy and paste in this forum but I can copy/paste in other forums. go figure? is your photo a straight copy/paste? ill try a copy/paste from my home computer. I doubt it will work.

mikechell 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2015 I have to use the "full editor" and attach a photo. I've tried copy and paste from my photo programs and from MS Paint ... none worked. I can copy a photo from another fishing site I frequent, then paste it here, though.

bellevue.chartreuse.trout 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2015 So basically we try one thing or another, and hope one of them works?!?!?! If I'm not right, it seems that this changes a bit over time too. One way works and then changes - sometimes. Not complaining here, it's just a bit frustrating when it changes is all. Crackaig 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2015 This I have posted before, but it is relevant here. A simple work flow of how you can post images. There are other ways, this one works. Cheers, C.
flytire 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2015 while some of you have the luxury of using copy/paste method of posting photos on this forum website, it doesnt work for me. heres what i get when trying i can paste the photo (and you can see it in the dialog box) but when i click the post button i get the error message and cannot post the photo as i said in a post above ill try a copy/paste from my home computer. I doubt it will work. that seems to be true at least for me go through the exercise that Alan has posted above and you will have success posting your photos
utyer 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2015 I simply open two windows right click and select copy from Facebook, and then "ctrl V" to paste it here. Not fly caught, but this is my first Red.
tidewaterfly 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2015 Flytire, you're not alone here! I can't seem to make the copy & paste thing work either. I get the same message you do when I try it, so I stick to using Photobucket. I don't do FB either, so never tried that.
