sculpinmaster 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2015 Henrik, the ribbing you see is actually the dubbed thread wound back up the body, not winding with touching turns adds to the sparseness.
Istripbuggers 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2015 Yeah, I fish pyramid a lot. I'm going out next week actually. It's a great spot. if you scroll through the fish pictures thread over in the "fly fishing" section of the forum you will see a bunch of pics I posted of pyramid. I definitely recommend it to anyone that loves the thought of catching a 25 pound trout on a fly, it's been happening every year for a few years now and should only get better with the true strain of LCT introduced and there water rights recently allowing the lake level to be higher. Anyways if you wanna talk more pm me. Miles

Let me know what you think. Glad to be a part of a great site as well thanks! Looking good bud!
mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2015 I tied these last night ... one of the guys in the class wanted something heavy enough to suspend below a float (strike indicator) since he doesn't fly fish. Mostly though ... I am still playing with this camera. These are the same from earlier pictures, but a little better focus ... brighter lighting. D-rib nymphs Fluffy Nymph (using the fluff at the base of the feather for "hackle". Size 14 ... white fluffy scud and green Gold Butt Brassie
vicrider 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2015 I tied these last night ... one of the guys in the class wanted something heavy enough to suspend below a BOBBER since he doesn't fly fish. Bead head Gold Butt.JPG There Mike, fixed that for ya. I like the use of fluff on a fly. I just throw it all away. Like the green butt brassies too. Crackaig 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2015 Some for a charity box a friend is putting together. A couple of standards, Of course I have to put some of these in. Something I have been using for a couple of seasons, a snowshoe bunny caddis. Then for a change of pace. That's the Blue Elver Fly, with the original Vulturine Guineafowl. Cheers, C. mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2015 I went to a tying meet at Dupage Fly Fishing Co., with richmc, last Thursday evening. My memory sucks, so hopefully rich can remember the name of this fly, and perhaps, the name of the tyer who led the evening. They really make use of the features of FTD's Sea Dragon Dubbing.
