LA Marsh February road trip

Just got back from a road trip to see my brother who is currently working in New Orleans. We managed to avoid the Mardi Gras madness and fished 3 full days. Considering we fished out of a bass boat and couldn't really reach most of the reds we saw we did pretty well. The reds were right at the upper slot size or just over. Also caught quite a few trout although none were real big and even a few largemouth. First time I ever caught trout and largemouth in the same spot. Does that count as some kind of slam? Started out a bit chilly on the first morning but the weather was terrific in the afternoons. Caught the reds on the black and orange fly (thanks to Betty for the advice on that one) and the trout and bass on the goat hair/rabbit strip flies. Here are a couple pics.

Sounds successful on all accounts. Nice flies, especially the bottom one, I'm inspired to tie some up.

That trout pictured is pretty nice. No reason to complain about that. Looks like you had a great time......
