SilverCreek 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2015 You can go into Canada, Mexico or the Caribean with the US Passport Card. You don't need the Passport Book. http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english/passports/information/card.html Ask your MD for a Rx for Ciprofloxacin 500 mg tabs X 20 tablets for diarrhea. Dosage is 500 mg every 12 hrs for up to 7 days as needed. Generic Cipro is really cheap. $4 for 20 tablets at Walmart. Get 20 just in case you have friends that get diarrhea. See under antibiotics. http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dbmd/diseaseinfo/travelersdiarrhea_g.htm http://i.walmart.com/i/if/hmp/fusion/genericdruglist.pdf I take the Steripen Adventurer Opti UV water purifier with me. http://www.steripen.com Take a strong sunscreen. Kudu 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2015 I've fished in mexico numerous times. Can't miss with the flies you are taking. I'd take some topwater stuff just in case. Casting will be more important than the flies. You didn't mention if you were wading or boat fishing. You will need appropriate footwear and sungear. Buffs and sun shirts are great especially for a big bald guy like myself. I love Mexico, I have always found the people to be friendly and caring. Los Cabos is my favorite. You can fish the Pacific or the sea of Cortez in the same day. Isla Blanca provides for awesome fishing as well. Good luck. Btw, nothing like ceviche and cerveza. Jealous as I'm still in winter hell aka snowmargeddon in southern Kentucky.
