In my newest YouTube fly tying tutorial, I feature the Tan Adams, an often overlooked pattern. This fly, which frequently gets lost in the shuffle because of its big brother, the Adams (in grey), is a great imitation of many light insects, especially caddisflies. Additionally, this is a great one to also fish in larger sizes as part of a dry-dropper combo.

Very nice indeed. One of Olly's simpler flies to tie (don't mistake that for easy). I first saw him demonstrate it in 1991. The dressing has changed a little since then but not much.

Have you heard anything from Oliver. I haven't seen or heard from him in at least 8 years.

Cheers,

C.

More hotel room tying:

Gold Butt Brassie on a size 6 octopus hook.

Fun yarn fly one a size 8 straight shank hook.

Sorry for picture quality on that second fly. I think I am going to bounce test this camera and pay a little more for a better one.
