vicrider 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2015 Gunpowderleader, on that second tie of yours is that foam on the top and is that a surface swimmer? It looks good and I know the quality of your ties. 1st Class.
Crackleback 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2015 I think you may be looking at the names backwards. The white one with the black foam back is eastern's.

eastern fly 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 Ok I got my flies. Now I have some questions so give it up. Mike how did you do the head on your streamer? Fantastic epoxy job, mine do not look that good. Also where did you get the eys on the white one? Trez Can I get the info on white fly? It looks like a zonker. Vic I like the eyes on yours also. Can I get that info also? I need more eyes. Great set of flies everyone. Kevin
Crackleback 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 It's Clear Cure Goo. I stick the eyes on with gel super glue then fill in between them with the thick goo and then a coat of the brushable over everything to even it all out. The eyes on the white one are the unweighted CCG dumbbells. The head on that one is craft fur in a dubbing brush. A fishing note on mine. There's a tiny bit of lead on both but a sinking line is the way to go for these two flies. -Mike
trez 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 The white one is a flesh fly. Here in Oregon, with the Salmon and Steelhead spawn, it's a good pattern. The bead allows it to be used as an egg sac as well. The rabbit strip is "two tone cotton candy" put out by Hairline. It's tied like a Zonker. I saw it at a local fly shop, NW Fly fishing Outfitters and just had to tie some up.
