Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Just finished up this little beauty this morning and ready to send it to a customer in Canada. It's a Ruby River 6'7" 3wt 4pc blank with fenwick grip, nice burled wood reel seat in nickle silver hardware with the front hood wrapped in garnet thread to match the guide wraps. Main wraps are garnet no cp, no trim, and double foot guides. The customer wanted classy & subtle, I think this fits the bill.
FlaFly 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Now that is a thing of beauty. The granite countertop you laid it on is not bad either. Perfect contrast.
Dave G. 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Beautiful Rod ! I haven't built a rod in years, you are getting my juices flowing. Hmm, went to look for my wrapping jig, can't find it. This is not good, it's stashed around here someplace. Probably easier to just build another one !
mikechell 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 That's a pretty rod. I like that little colored ring.
Istripbuggers 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2015 It's a beauty, I can see that fenwick grip being petty sweet on a smaller rod like that! Is that meant to be a thumb groove? Well done as always Steve!
