The two on the left are barramundi, and the other is a diamond trevally.

Barramundi? Kind of funny because they're putting those in ponds and raising them here for fishing and food. I've never realized there was a fishery in the ocean, if that's where you were.

Barramundi are one of the most iconic sports-fish in Australian estuaries mate :).

 

The trip was actually focused around Permit, but the weather only played the game on Saturday. Sunday and Monday the wind and cloud put paid to that.

 

My fishing buddy managed one permit on Saturday and I got a couple of shots... But that was the limit of our success.

Yeah, I'll get mine in the mail soon and will look forward to a double package when it comes in. These will just be in a piece of plastic to get them there.
