Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2015 Spent most of the holiday weekend putting a new roof over the front part of the cabin upnorth so did not get to fish anywhere near as much as I wanted/planned too, but upkeep on the cabin comes first. I did manage to get done in time to slip down to the river and fish for a couple hours and had some pretty nice fish to show for the little amount of fishing I did. Some nice smallies and pike, and even managed to land two bass at once on a tandem streamer rig, first time that has happened to me.
FlaFly 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2015 Beautiful fish! Is there any kind of fish that river doesn't have? ☺
Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2015 Not many. That's one of the things I love about the Au Sable, so many species in various sections.

mikechell 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2015 MMMMMMMMMMMM Wow! Beautiful grand slam of fish!!! I'll say it again ... the ONLY thing I miss about "up North" is the gravel/stone bottomed rivers and creeks. I love fishing from my boat, but I do miss wading a good hard bottom water. I love the handle on the rod!
