June Flies from the Vice

Morrow, if you're tying for "pretty", then yes, they need improvement.

If you're tying for fishing, then they're good to go. Are those dumbbell eyes? You might want to tie some with bead chain, to swim higher in the water column. Depending on where you fish, I guess. I don't fish swift water, so nothing needs heavy weight in my world.

I was thinking I packed the wool too tight. Cosmetically I'm ok with them. About the Dumbbells, I really need to restock on some new eye variations. Ill be fishing these in a river that generally flows at about 600 cfs. I will take a look at bead chain eyes for tying this for lakes. Thanks for the tip.

My first go with wool heads. Needs some improvement. This is an articulated pattern.

Personally Kimo, I could never attempt that buzzer even with your SBS. Anything I'd do would only make me feel bad when I looked at that pic of yours. Beautiful and delicate work.

I've been tying these for a swap and learning about the mess shaving deer hair creates...

And these for part of a Bergman swap...

Wife was looking over my shoulder, Dubs. She says your dries are "Blingy" ... and we both like them.
