Denduke, those look rather fishy! I would suggest that you look at how much the hook in bottom right corner of the first pic (Eagle Claw?) is bent. My experience is that much more than a 15-20 degree bend causes hooking and retaining issues. I might have to pick up some of the VMC hooks and play with them. Did you have any breakage issues from bending?

Had one of the heavey 2x salt water hooks brake. Seemed like it was tempered harder. The eagle claws have offset at the bend that I straightend also. I wanted the epoxied eye to not be in the "gap" if you will. I actually did not have to bend as much thus the DOAs are bout right as is...they didn't have them except in 3/0 and larger. I just want 2/0....

Thanks. That is one of the reasons that I have not messed with the DOAs, I tend to fish smaller hooks.
