tctrout 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2015 Regardless of the modifications you had to make, that's one nice looking fly! Plus, great pics of it... TC Greased Liner Peacock Had to stack the caribou; couldn't get the natural curve like Harry Lemire's version. Also, went with the peacock since I'm fresh out of musk ox. hook - Dai Riki 899 #6 thread - UTC 140 black tail - mule deer rib - x-fine wire copper body - peacock herl hackle - grizzly hen wing/head - caribou Regards, Scott

Chuck McFarlane 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2015 SeaDsea nymph on TMC811S #6, for seatrout. I really like the bugginess of this pattern. Nice tie Eide. I'm thinking of doing a few up for freshwater nymphing. What Is that dubbing blend?
bulb 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2015 Got my hands on some soft hackle with chickabou (brahma hen), and made a bunch of brahma buggers. Tried four different combinations: olive yellow, olive brown, brown gray, and gray yellow. I'm also fiddling with a pattern for a flytying competition here in Sweden, and since i'm a big fan of zonker style flies i thought i'd give the classic pattern a twist:

Man, I miss the sun.....and fishing.... fire.jpg green.jpg triple.jpg Good looking flies. I like them all but the top is my favorite. You should do a step-by-step of how you tie it.
