The shrimp is on a Mustad C 70 SD And the other one is a Tiemco TMC8089 Ok, feeling geeky now, let me know if I nailed (or was it hooked) it :-P Have a great weekend all

switch10 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2015 I finally got my hands on some of Blane Chockletts body tubing. Pretty cool stuff. It really flairs the bucktail out nicely, and reduces the weight of the fly. Braided expandable tubing is the same thing, and much cheaper.

Is that some kind of barred flash trailing back with the saddle? Don't think I have seen that before. Great looking tie! J

Goose77 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2015 Hey Cream...that is a cool looking bug. Obviously the hair work looks immaculate. But that tail is also super...it seems to explode out the back of the bug. The tail also looks light, and like it might shed water well too. What did you put back there? Thank you, Ed

Its called Magnum Barred Flashabou. nice fly, what is this body tubing you were talking about? Here is the video explaining the body tubing: Chocklett's Body Tubing - YouTube I used an entire pack on 2 flies. I found some much cheaper on Ebay under the name "expandable braided tubing".
