Secret Santa 2015 time is here

Recommended Posts

Glad they got there, and thanks for the kind words. While I live in Florida now, and I am concentrating on fishing the Central Florida Lagoons for Redfish, Trout, Snook and Tarpon, I do travel to Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming every year for some fishing, so I am not at all fussy on what flies I end up with, they will all get put to good use.

Yes thank you for the complement. I just wanted to try and keep up with the outstanding tyers on this forum. Didn't want to screw up my first secret Santa swap so i did my best to make a suffice set of flys for my recipient.

Im surprised they got to you so fast, having to cross the boarder and all. Sure is a load of my shoulders not having to worry every day that something was going to screw up during shipping.

Thanks again for hosting this swap. I cant wait till Xmas!!

My salty set is done and will go out first thing tomorrow I tried to put together a set of flies that would work in the salt anywhere or bass fishing for that matter. This is my first swap so I hope they are well accepted I dont want to let anyone down.

Brandon, 6 flies would meet the requirements. I have a few like this in that are a nice, clear plastic partitioned Plano box. They have the bigger flies in there with usually a few others as kickers. There are a couple of people requesting bigger stuff if it comes in so someone would be happy with yours for sure.

Joseph, this is a swap for Christmas gifts in good will. We are not tying for contests but for the enjoyment of sharing. Your flies will be well received by a lucky participant and whether fished or just displayed as some do with swap flies they will be appreciated.

Three more great boxes in the mail today. Green has a box some definite trout candy in there. Will has a box with some great patterns, a couple I can see far surpass my tying ability. Beautiful mini crayfish and furled tailed damsels (I think), plus some others in there if those don't do it.

And Fletchfishes. My gosh he sent a box that a starting out guide to put to use for his first year on the water. Whoever the wheel lands on for his box is set for the first part of next season for sure.

All in all we have nothing but quality efforts that should make a lot of us happy ON Christmas Morning.

This is the final week but PLEASE, don't drop out if you're going to be a few days late. My goal is to wrap, sort and stamp all packages by end of month and get them out. Get yours to me as soon as you can if you're not going to hit the deadline and you'll still Santa treating you right.

Mine got in the mail today and the Post Lady said they should arrive by Thursday. I would like to take this opportunity to THANK YOU for doing such a nice thing for everyone. This is my second year participating in this and I have hosted few swaps so I do know that it take a lot of time and organization to do something like this, especially this many folks involved. vicrider is a pretty good fellow in my opinion!!!
