vicrider 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2015 Bah Humbug. I was in a Wal-Mart the other day and a little girl came up to me and asked if I was Santa Claus. I smiled and told her NO, but my brother was. Her eyes got big and excited asked, "Really"? I said, "Yes, he sure is and he died last year when him and his reindeer ran into a power pole. The Chinese battery sold by Wal-Mart burnt out in Rudolph's nose and he went blind." Fixed that little kid good and helped harden her to the real world. No, I didn't do that. breambuster 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2015 Vic, that sounds more like Scrooge or the Grinch. Not the bearer of all the Christmas joy that Secret Santa brings. The Secret Santa gift is usually one of the first under our tree. And it's also the last one opened. We spend Christmas Day at my wife's mother's house with all the in-laws. And when we get home, there is one more gift waiting for me under the tree. The gift that I've been waiting all day to open. After everything else is done, the hustle and bustle of visiting the in-laws, the driving and everything else. I sit down in my recliner, take a deep breath, relax, and open Secret Santa. It's the best way I've found so far to tie the last ribbon on the holidays. And that's the reason I keep signing up year after year. It's a good thing, you're doing Santa Vic! Take care BB

add147 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2015 LMAO!!!!!! vicrider you tramatized that poor girl....Funny funny funny... I can honestly say I wait till Christmas to open mine. When I was a kid my little brother would unwrap the Christmas presents under the tree while my folks where not at home and re-wrap them. I hated it because it ruined the surprise and excitement of opening presents. After awhile I squealed on him and he got in trouble for it. Me personally it is the joy of not knowing what you are getting. My ex-wife had an aunt that didn't have a lot of money but she always managed to give the best gifts at Christmas. The gifts were nothing special to anyone else I suppose but I always enjoyed her thoughtfulness plus her gifts were always useful. I would be thinking to myself hey this is a pretty cool gift. I remember one year she gave me an USB fan that could be plugged into a laptop and you could point it to yourself and get a little breeze. Nothing expense at all but a pretty darn useful gift I thought. Still have the little fan got rid of the wife though! LOL
