retro... those are really convincing! How small are they?

Hi flafly they are tied on a kamasan nymph hook size 10

Probably just over an inch long

Just been playing with scuds again trying to refine the retro scud

Nice patterns! I want to try to do up a few of those. Retro, check your flytying forum messenger. I sent an sbs on the felt yabbie. Let me know if you got it. Cheers.

Hi eide ......Do you use cdc for high floatation or just for buggy appearance ?

 

Both :)

The body is a cdc bubble that will keep it floating (and get some of the buggy apperance), the head is cdc in a dubbing loop that will add to the bugginess and lots of life in the fly.
