Henrik.... why? For the benefit of us unlearned ones, why should the tail be less square? If it's a baitfish imitation, baitfish have square tails.

It's not a problem when dry.

But when wet, the fibers collaps, all fibers do.

If square, they collaps to a massive little moving stick. If pointy, they collaps pointy, and will still be moving.

 

Think the twick vs a cut branch of a tree in windy weather... ;-)

Nice looking ties Retro. The bug back looks great on that pattern. How are you coloring your bead chain?

 

Black permanent marker or black nail varnish ...depends what is handier at the time of tying lol
