Not crimped but yes its a single strand of wire you can get it in the leader areas of any tackle shop even walmart. you put it on the same way you do a mono loop, tie one end to the front hook down the top of the shaft make a loop through the rear hook tie it up the shaft of the front hook again and the last step i take is probably ovrkill but i fold the wire back over itself when i get to the eye and tie back a few wraps to lock it down.
